•  Where does this fit?

  - Micah is a prophet who connects with the people in the countryside.

  - Micah is a powerful and creative preacher. He is quoted by other prophets.

  - Micah provides a clear message that is a model of the prophetic role and message.

•  What should we believe?

  - Leaders are particularly accountable for their spiritual influence.

  - God’s justice is often talionic (“eye for eye” tooth for tooth”).

  - Judgment precedes restoration.

  - Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. (Micah 7:18)

•  How should we behave?

  - He has told you, O man, what is good; and what the Lord requires of you;

                to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8)

Next Steps
•  Take your leadership role seriously, no matter what it may be.

•  Meditate on the mercy of God (7:18).

•  Live with integrity, love kindness, and walk humbly with God. (6:8)
