The Oppression of the Midianites (6:1-6)
The perpetual idolatry of God's people
leads to relentless discipline from God's hand.

The Revelation of the Lord (6:7-10)
The Lord is faithful to send reminders of His faithfulness.
God's people should rehearse and know the stories of His faithfulness.

The Arrival of the Angel of the Lord (6:11-12)
The Lord sees the end from the beginning in spite of our fear.

The Questions of Weak Faith - Tribes (6:13-16)
The call and presence of the Lord is the answer
to our questions of weak faith.

The Initial Steps of Weak Faith (6:17-26)
The Peace of God is the reward of genuine worship.

The Opposition of the World (6:27-35)
The comfortable world (even Christians)
cannot tolerate obedient faith.

The Requests of Weak Faith (6:36-40)

Strong faith unhesitatingly obeys; first time, every time.

The Lord graciously,and patiently
guides us to grow and be used
in His grand story of redemption.

Home Church
Our Home Churches meet weekly to facilitate quicker relational depth, study the same passage taught
Sunday to help apply Scripture in the context of community, and pray with one another.  Home Church helps our body seek God’s best for one another.

Home Church Questions
•  Read Judges 6:1-40 again.

•  What stands out in this passage or from the message?

•  What was your impression of Gideon coming into the story—before Ken started to evaluate him so     harshly?  Do the commentators Ken is referencing seem to be fair in their analysis of him?

•  In what ways do you identify with Gideon?  Last week Ken presented the following list:
      - Clear "Ups" and "Downs" in Faith and Obedience
      - Lack of Usable Bible Knowledge.
      - Good Start, Poor Finish
      - Affirmation with Words but Hesitant in Application
       - Seeking Assurance of what God has Already Promised
       - Seeking Assurance of Victory Before Obedience
       - Taking too Much Credit for God's Work.
       - Allowing Victory/Success/Growth to Turn into Pride
       - Letting God's Blessing Turn into a Snare for Idolatry

•  God asked Gideon to start at home.  Why is this hard but important?

•  Gideon makes lots of excuses.  What are some of your excuses for not serving the Lord, or being     faithful?

Bethlehem House Soup-er Bowl Food Drive Sunday, February 13
On a day when we watch the big game and celebrate with more food than most football teams could consume, let’s join together to help bless others through our Soup-er Bowl Sunday!  Food items such as hearty soups, canned chili, spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, tuna helper, canned meats (tuna and chicken), and Knorr brand pasta are needed to help restock the food pantry of Bethlehem House, one of our local ministry partners. Simply bring one or more of these items and drop it off at Fellowship Sunday, February 13th or you can bring them to the Fellowship Ministry Office Monday - Thursday (8-4:30 p.m.) or Friday (8:30-2:00 p.m.) the previous week.

Chris Loux - Ukraine Missionary
With Russia and Ukraine being front and center in the news lately,  we wanted to update you on Chris Loux, a missionary from Fellowship, who is currently serving in Ukraine.  Chris has let us know they are monitoring the situation closely, but as of now does not plan to leave unless something drastic changes. Please be praying for the Russia/Ukraine situation, as well as for Chris and his team in Ukraine.
