Trust God to fulfill His word
as you are faithful to your calling as a witness.

Next Steps
Discuss with a close friend what God is calling you to do as a witness and how He is being
faithful along the way.
• Re-read the book of Acts over the next two weeks.

Home Church
Our Home Churches meet weekly to facilitate quicker relational depth, study the same passage taught
Sunday to help apply Scripture in the context of community, and pray with one another.  Home Church helps our body seek God’s best for one another.

Home Church Questions
•
Read Acts 27:1-28:16.
•  What was the main point of the message this week?
•  Was there anything new, interesting, insightful,or even unclear from the message?
•  What was your main takeaway from this week’s message?
•  In this message we see Paul as a witness in the midst of a storm and a shipwreck. The parallels to our current COVID-19 storm are striking.
•  How has the current storm presented challenges for you at work?
•  How has the current storm presented challenges for you at home?
•  What is the plan for your group to remain connected during this time of “social isolation”?  Learning how to use “Zoom” is an excellent option.
•  What opportunities have you had to not see this as just how it inconveniences you, but to think about others and how to reach out to them?
•  How have you seen God already working in the midst of the storm?
•  What do you think kept Paul going in the midst of this wild travel sequence?
•  Paul told the men to stay on the boat and eat a meal.  What is the balance between “obey God” and “be practical”?
•  Paul had been on his way to Rome for quite a long time.  What have you been doing for a long time as a part of God’s plan?
