Joshua:
Be Strong and Courageous
(Joshua 1:1-9)

Joshua Slides

God will give you more than you can handle, but He will
be with you through it all.

Knowledge and constant application of God’s Word is CENTRAL
to thriving in the promised land.

We are strong and courageous, because of who is with us.

God’s unwavering faithfulness demands courageous obedience.

Next Steps

Courageously take the next step in obedience in what God has called you to.

• Commit to obey God’s calling regardless of the cost.

Home Church
Our Home Churches meet weekly to facilitate quicker relational depth, study the same passage taught
Sunday to help apply Scripture in the context of community, and pray with one another.  Home Church helps our body seek God’s best for one another.

Home Church Questions

•  What was the main point of the message this week?
•  Was there anything new, interesting, insightful, or even unclear from the message?
•  What was your main takeaway from this week’s message?
•  Why is it so hard to find life-giving Christian Community?
•  When have you been surprised by the Christian Community you have found?  What was that like?
•  When have you not been able to find Christian Community?  What was that like?
•  They prayed on the beach.  Why do you think this is mentioned?
•  How do you know when you are hearing the guidance of the Lord clearly?  How does Christian community fit into that process?
•  How much suffering would you be willing to endure if you were pretty sure it was a result of following God’s will?
