Home Church Questions
• Read the book (yes, the whole book!).
• What about the message on Zephaniah captured your attention?
• Judah seemed to want the benefits of worshipping both the Lord and Molech (1:5). What syncretistic (the blending of two or more belief systems) influences bear upon the Christian community in our world? Has this been a reality in your own life and how can you guard against this effect?
• Zephaniah wrote during a time of Israelite prosperity in which the people became complacent (1:12). In what ways does prosperity birth complacency? How do you battle against complacency in your life?
• Compare 3:8 with 3:9-10. What is God’s purpose in bringing about judgment? Now compare that to Hebrews 12:4-11. What does this indicate about God’s purposes, both universally and individually?
• What is the most important thing you learned or were challenged with from the book of Zephaniah?

Involvement in OCC is an easy way to have fingerprints on the great things God is doing across the world. Think of the shoeboxes you send as Gospel opportunities, used by God for church planting, multi-generation discipleship, and changing the lives of entire villages worldwide. Would you consider how many boxes you and your family might be called to pack? Visit our website at fellowshipconway.org/occ for
more information about how to get involved. If you are interested in volunteering at the Dallas Processing Center, email Paul Bradley at paul@fellowshipconway.org. The last day to sign up is November 14.
