Anarchy Engulfs a Nation - Chisholm

Degeneration in Israelite Society - Younger

The Incident: Sodom and Gomorrah Revisited
When God's people live with the world's values
regular life begins to contain unimaginable evil
(including misogamy, sexual perversions, and horrible violence).
(19:1-30)

(The Israelites look like the Canaanites and Sodom and Gomorrah is eclipsed by Israel)
[God's people look just like the world and Las Vegas is eclipse by Sunday Morning]

The Overreaction: Bye Bye Benjamin
Eventually God allows His people to destroy themselves
by turning them over to their own devices.
(20:1-48)

The Aftermath: 600 Brides for 600 Brothers
Sometimes you can step over a line of moral decay
and only the grace of God and His larger purposes can save you.
(21:1-25)

Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God,
so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.
They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity.
They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips,  slanderers, God-haters,
insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents;
they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy.
Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
Romans 1:28-32

Next Steps
•  Truth: God's people can do horrible things, but not without consequences.
•  Warning: There is a limit to the patience of God.
•  Challenge: Live a countercultural life of fidelity to God and love of others.

Serving in the youth Ministry
Our student ministry is in need of adults interested in being a small group leader this school year! The role involves building relationships with a small group of students based on grade and gender, and being available Wednesday nights throughout the school year. Reach out to our Student Pastor, Alan Putnam for more information! aputnam@fellowshipconway.org or 501-505-6087.

Mission Arlington Continues
Our FSM students just returned from an amazing week at Mission Arlington presenting the gospel to kids through VBS.  Now, they will bring their passion for Jesus to our preschool and elementary students in Fellowship Kids on June 26.

You will check your kids in and drop them off in their classroom as you normally would. Then our FSM students will take over leading them in games, worship songs, Bible lessons, and small group time. When you are finished with your church service, you will pick them up from the Fellowship Kids Worship Room upstairs. They will be ready to tell you all about it!
