What is the message of Joshua?
Conviction: So What?
• What should we believe?
• The Lord is faithful to do all that He has promised.
• Our participation in the promises of God is related to obedience.
• Our enjoyment of the promises of God is related to obedience.
• God’s accepts genuine worship from and blesses those who trust Him.
• Incomplete obedience is costly.
• How should we behave?
Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed,
for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go!
• Where does this fit?
• A demonstration of the faithfulness of God and fickle obedience of His people.
• A continuation of the plan of God to use Israel to bless all people.
Next Steps
• Consistently depend on the faithfulness of God in every circumstance.
• Courageously obey God fully in every situation.
• Constantly participate in God’s plan and look forward to His “rest”.
