• What was the main point of the message this week?
• Was there anything new, interesting, insightful, or even unclear from the message?
• What was your main takeaway from this week’s message?
• In what way is the message of Proverbs relevant to each and every one of us? The book is clearly addressed to “sons.” How does it include daughters? It is addressed to the young, but also the wise (cf. 1:5). It is for princes/leaders but for everyone. How do you need the message of Proverbs?
• The teacher goes out of his way to mention the teachings of his mother (1:3). Why would he do this? Why is this important? What implications can we draw from this about the nature of the family in biblical times? What applications come out of this for today?
• Where are you in need of “wisdom” right now in your life?
• Proverbs 4:23 states, “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.” What does that mean?
