The Bible and Joy
Full joy is found in the future, but tastes are available now.

The focus of joy is in the future (Revelation 19:7).

This life provides glimpses of real joy (Ecclesiastes 3:12-13, et al).

Joy is most often found in the presence of God (Psalm 16:11).

Jesus and Great Joy
The ministry of Jesus is full of joy.

There is great joy at the birth of Christ (Matthew 2:10).

There is great joy during the life of Christ (Luke 13:17).

There is great joy at the resurrection of Christ (Luke 24:41, 52).

Christians and Joy
The joyful Christian is full of faith, hope and love.

Faith: Joy is directly connected to faith (1 Peter 1:3-7)

Hope: Joy rests on a foundation of hope (Romans 15:13).

Love: Joy grows out of love as a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).

Jesus brings great joy because He accomplishes our redemption
and brings us into the presence of God.

Next Steps

Home Church Launching in 2021
At Fellowship, our Home Churches are the lifeblood of our community. In a Home Church you will build deep relationships with other believers because of your mutual bond to Jesus Christ, as you study God’s Word, pray together, and serve alongside one another. We believe that God intended for people to live in community and we want to encourage you to be a part of our Home Church ministry launching in January 2021.  Questions?  Contact Michael Harrison mharrison@fellowshipconway.org.

Perspectives | January 18 - May 10, 2021 | 2nd Baptist
God has a “world-sized” role for every Christian in His global purpose. Whether people go to distant countries or stay at home is a secondary issue. The primary issue is what most people are hungry to discover: vision to live a life of purpose. Discovering that vision makes this course valuable, and perhaps crucial, for any Christian. To sign-up or to learn more about this great opportunity, go to https://www.perspectives.org.

Holiday Ministry Office Hours
The minstry office will be closed December 24, December 25 and January 1. The ministry office will be open until noon December 31.
