Introduction: The Benefits of Salvation in Romans 5-8

•  (5) PEACE with God!   •  (6) UNION with Christ!

•  (7) FREEDOM from Law!    •  (8) LIFE in the Spirit!

The Principle
The law has no authority over a dead person.
(Romans 7:1)

The Illustration
A widow is free to marry another if her husband dies.
(Romans 7:2-3)

The Application
Christians are no longer subject to the law
but led and empowered by the Holy Spirit
to live a life pleasing to God.
(Romans 7:4-6)

Christians are no longer in a binding relationship to the law
but freed to grow in a new relationship with Jesus Christ.

Next Steps
•  Make a definitive decision to stop measuring your spiritual life by rules.
•  Engage your mind (knowing the truth) and heart (deepening your affections) to pursue your spiritual life as a set of relationships (worshiping the Father, falling more in love with the Son, and led by the Holy Spirit.)

Christmas Offering | Generations | Renewal Ranch
Our elders have determined our annual Christmas Offering will address two areas this year.  First, we will provide $10,000 to Renewal Ranch, a vital ministry partner of Fellowship that has suffered financially during this COVID season.  Second, we will put Fellowship on strong financial footing by fulfilling the remaining $150,000 of the Generations campaign before we go to permanent financing in February, 2021.
Together, we can make a difference now and into the future by giving to the Christmas Offering. To be part, go to fellowshipconway.org/christmas2020.

New to Fellowship?
We are so glad that you joined the Fellowship Family to worship this morning.  If you are joining us for the first time or have been checking us out for a few weeks, we are excited you are here and would love to meet you.  Please fill out the “Connect” section of your bulletin, tear it off, and bring it to the Connection Center in the Atrium, we would love to say “hi” and give you a gift. Join us at our next Fellowship 101 where you get to hear all about the church, ministries, and meet some of our leaders – January 24, 2021 at 9 am.

Fellowship’s Angel Tree
Fellowship’s annual Angel Tree, sponsored by the Girlfriend’s Ministry, will be assisting local families by partnering with the Conway Fire Department’s Christmas Boot Drive (benefiting families in need identified through Conway Public Schools). Tags are available today and can be picked up at the Angel Tree in the atrium. Take a tag, scan the QR code or type in the web address and you will see all the items that are needed this Christmas. Please return your gifts by Sunday, December 13th at noon. Thank you for serving families right here in our own community.

Perspectives | January 18 - May 10, 2021 | 2nd Baptist
God has a “world-sized” role for every Christian in His global purpose. Whether people go to distant countries or stay at home is a secondary issue. The primary issue is what most people are hungry to discover: vision to live a life of purpose. Discovering that vision makes this course valuable, and perhaps crucial, for any Christian. To sign-up or to learn more about this great opportunity, go to https://www.perspectives.org.

Operation Christmas Child
On Sunday, December 13 we will put a bow on National Collection Week as we share and celebrate the total number of boxes packed at Fellowship, as well as our River Valley Area! You won’t want to miss it!

Home Church Launching in 2021
At Fellowship, our Home Churches are the lifeblood of our community. In a Home Church you will build deep relationships with other believers because of your mutual bond to Jesus Christ, as you study God’s Word, pray together, and serve alongside one another. We believe that God intended for people to live in community and we want to encourage you to be a part of our Home Church ministry launching in January 2021.  Questions?  Contact Michael Harrison mharrison@fellowshipconway.org or visit the website www.fellowshipconway.org/homechurch.
