WITNESSES:
The Spread of the Gospel in the Book of Acts
Ephesus: Community Impact
(Acts 19:23-41)
The World In Which We Live
Show Me the Money
The transforming power of the gospel
is a threat to the values of the world.
(19:23-27)
Caught Up in a Cause
There is a danger to living in a world
where uninformed hostility toward the gospel abounds.
(19:28-34)
Calmer Heads Prevail
The world has nothing to fear
from the transforming power of the gospel.
(19:35-41)
Lessons for Witnesses:
Witnesses must patiently exercise wisdom
in the midst of a hostile world threatened
by the transforming power of the gospel.
Next Steps
• Evaluate whether or not your life is a challenge to anyone around you. In what way is it a challenge?
• Evaluate with a close friend whether you are patient or rash in your reactions when others misunderstand you.
• Determine to trust God with your future rather than taking matters into our own hands.
This Week’s Growth Guide
God’s Word is both central and critical to your spiritual growth. We invite you to utilize the Growth Guide during the week to further your application of the Truth from the message.
• Monday - 2 Timothy 3:1-9
• Tuesday - 2 Peter 3:3-7
• Wednesday - Matthew 24:1-14
• Thursday - Matthew 24:15-25
• Friday - Acts 20:1-16
Home Church
Our Home Churches meet weekly to facilitate quicker relational depth, study the same passage taught
Sunday to help apply Scripture in the context of community, and pray with one another. Home Church helps our body seek God’s best for one another.
Home Church Questions
• Read Acts 19:23-41.
• What was the main point of the message this week?
• Was there anything new, interesting, insightful, or even unclear from the message?
• What was your main take-away from this week’s message?
• Discuss the condition of our world.
• Discuss the condition of our nation.
• Discuss the condition of our city.
• How should we then live?
At Fellowship
Operation Christmas Child Kick-OFF
Operation Christmas Child season is in full swing and we are in need of MORE shoeboxes. If you have any shoeboxes (no flip tops), would you consider donating them? You can use any kind of shoebox to pack your items--plastic, GO box, wrapped, flip-top--as long as it is not wrapped closed. The GO Store, located in Downtown Conway, is the perfect place for you to buy approved items to put in your box for a fraction of the cost of retail. That means, if you plan to pack 1 box, you might be able to pack 2 or 3 boxes for the same amount! We need MANY volunteers for OCC Collection Week, November 18 - 25, so please visit the Fellowship app on your phone and click the OCC icon to sign up or visit the website and click on the OCC menu.
